Jamie's Match Report: 

What a great morning of football for the Development Squad.

It is fantastic to see when the hard work of training translates into improved play in matches and that is just what happened- Our passing was great! Looking up before delivering the ball, running into space, loud talking to each other- we looked like a different team!

It was not long before we got our first goal from Oskar. All the boys played brilliantly from Max in goal, with one particularly good goal saving save,

Oliver playing a blinder at right back, not missing a single tackle and consistently delivering the ball back upto midfield, Will was great at left back, enjoying being out of goal for a change.

Louis was moved upto midfield where he played his socks off, great tackling and accurate passing. Oskar showed a real improvement in energy levels and really enjoyed getting stuck in.

The front two of Sam and Evan had a brilliant first half in particular, Evan with two goals, the second one a beautiful chip a la Rooney, definate contender for goal of the season!

Sam was so close to scoring- we re convinced Knaresborough have extra wide goal posts as we hit the post 5 times!!

So 3-0 after half time and could have been more but we got our first League win!

The second match saw Knaresborough getting back into the game but our defense was strong again from Ollie and Sam, and Oskar in goal.

Max and Louis both played well in midfield, really getting around the park and linking well with Evan and Will up front.

It was close, 0-0 after half time, but Evan's hard work and persistance paid off and he got a good goal. This was soon followed by a great strike and goal from Sam.

Evan s well deserved 4 th goal of the morning came, again through persistence and hassling of the goal keeper. Will was very unlucky with a great long shot going through their keeper s legs onto the post.

 All the boys played really well but there was no doubt that Evan s goals and consistent hard effort won him Man of the Match for the second game.

 Oskar s improved effort, passing and first goal won him Man of the Match in ther first game.

 You did Simon and me proud boys- lets see more of the same next time!!
