Jamie's Match Report: 

It was another beautiful morning weather wise and we had a very successful morning of football: 

The first match was a very close game with some improved passing play up front resulting in a lovely goal from Sam Lee.

Scotton got one back fairly quickly but our boys defended well. Scotton went one ahead but the boys kept their heads up and worked hard to get the equaliser through super sub Gabriel Humphries.

With a bit more luck we might have converted a couple of other chances into a goal and a first league win. Next time!

Ollie gained man of the match for very solid and consistent defence and good long passes upto the strikers.

All the boys played really well, from Louis, Ollie and Jack at the back, Evan and Oskar in midfield and Sam, Jacob and Gabriel up front.

With the pressure off,  in the friendly match the boys upped the tempo and the goals started to flow!

Perhaps we could have stopped some of their goals through getting back to defend quicker but hey, we scored more goals than they did and got our first win!!

Very well done to man of the match, Sam Lee, with four great goal assists to the dynamic duo of Jack and Gabriel, the goal scorers up front.

There was visibly better teamwork this week in the passing and getting back to defend than in previous weeks.

Also our positional play is improving- Jacob is particularly good at finding space in the box and attacking the crosses! 

Thanks very much to Alex for refereeing and Karen, Evans mum, and Vic, Oskars mum for doing the refreshments- we made £17.50 profit for the team!
