AWAY vs Boroughbridge

Managers Report: 

It was a lovely morning for yesterdays Pannal Ash Pumas match v Borobridge Whites- the boys put plenty of effort in,  hopefully enjoying the matches if not the scores!

Despite Jack Whiting's ( Man of Match for great goal keeping) best efforts their attackers broke through our defence a couple of times to score. Our guys up front, Sam, Jacob, Evan and Oskar started to get into the game with good moves and lots of effort . Louis and Ollie worked hard in defence with plenty of good tackles and clearances put in.

Despite the hard work the chances just seemed to go against us- seemed to be one of those frustrating games.

Max made a good debut at left back in second half.

We got more into the second match with Jack s help up front. Great throw ins  and moves coming from Sam, lots of hard running around the pitch from Jacob, great skills from Evan and good hard work from Oskar. Louis and Ollie looked much more confident in defence ( Louis gaining Man of Match for the glimpses of defensive genius). Max had a great first game at goalie- the rugby training has paid off!

This is only our second match but the boys are starting to get used to match play and their team mates. We ll continue to focus on our positional play,  confidence on the ball and getting shots in on goal in our next matches.  Don t forget to practice passing, tackling, shooting at goal and even throw ins at home boys!!
