Training Grounds

Thursday night training is at Rossett Sports Centre on the all weather pitch and Saturday morning training is held on the Stray at the back of Harrogate Hospital. (On Knaresborough Road between the Empress roundabout and the Hospital).

Home Games

Home games are played at Queen Ethelburga’s Playing Fields, Young’s Drive, Harrogate, HG3 2GA.

There is limited parking at Queen Ethelburga's so please ensure that you respect local residents and do not block their access.  Please also ensure that players bang their boots off at the allotted place within the carpark and not outside resident's houses.

There are no toilets or changing facilities available, however we will endeavour to make sure that refreshments are available.

From Skipton direction

Take A59 towards Harrogate.

At small roundabout with Traveller’s Rest pub, take third exit [right] onto B6161 Oaker Bank, in direction of Otley.

Less than 1 mile later, at next roundabout, take first exit [left] onto Penny Pot Lane

After 400m, take first exit on left into Young’s Drive. Playing fields and parking are at end of drive.

 

From Ripon / Killinghall direction

From A61 at Killinghall, take B6161 Otley Road towards Otley.

At small roundabout with Traveller’s Rest pub, take second exit [straight on] on B6161 Oaker Bank, in direction of Otley.

Less than 1 mile later, at next roundabout, take first exit [left] onto Penny Pot Lane

After 400m, take first exit on left into Young’s Drive. Playing fields and parking are at end of drive.

 

From Leeds direction

Take A61 to Harrogate.

After Harewood, continue straight on through two roundabouts. After second roundabout (St George’s), you will notice the start of The Stray (grass playing fields) on the right and ahead on the left.

At third roundabout (Prince of Wales), take first exit [left] onto Otley Road, B6162.

Follow directions for “From Harrogate Prince of Wales roundabout”

 

From Wetherby / York direction

Take A661 into Harrogate, past the Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate Town FC and the Hospital.

Take second exit [straight on] at large roundabout, road name changes to A59 Skipton Road.

Remain on A59 until second roundabout with Traveller’s Rest pub, take first exit [left] onto B6161 Oaker Bank, in direction of Otley.

Less than 1 mile later, at next roundabout, take first exit [left] onto Penny Pot Lane

After 400m, take first exit on left into Young’s Drive. Playing fields and parking are at end of drive.

 

From Harrogate Prince of Wales roundabout on A61

Take B6162 Otley Road.

Continue straight on through traffic lights at Harrogate Grammar School / New Inn public house, and continue through next traffic lights 100m later.

At next traffic lights, turn right onto Harlow Moor Road.

Remain on Harlow Moor Road (take care of speed bumps and a series of mini-roundabouts) as it changes its name to Cornwall Road and then Penny Pot Lane.

Continue as road steepens downhill to traffic-lighted bridge, and then steeply up hill with sharp blind bends thereafter.

Young’s Drive is on right as the hill gradient starts to flatten and the road is seen to straighten. If you reach a large roundabout at the B6161, you have gone too far by about 400m.
